Only 7 songs, but you need no more for a nostalgic breakout. “I think Dirty Beaches’ stuff works because it’s trying to recall a psychological landscape from the past. It has that punk flyer ‘photocopy of a photocopy’ feel. That works, but it’s not something I would want to keep doing if labels could give me more funding.” They will Alex; they will.
