We did this

After tonight’s talk with the Flattr founders near Farringdon we’re more & more convinced that microfunding & crowdsourcing are not just temporary trends… they’re probably the only way out & future for many projects, websites & businesses…

And if we didn’t have enough crowdsourcing, & microdonating platforms incomes a new one! … We Did This! If the guys @Kickstarter expected (and already have) several copycats appearing on a monthly basis, well, WDT is one of these.

The good thing for WDT is that Kickstarter (the mos renown arty crowdsourcing platform out there) is not ready yet to launch in Europe. So while they do… WDT will have a go to fill the needs of the Brit market, and if everything goes well… why not the rest of the EU market?

Same principle… you need money to fund your artistic project in the UK? Then you’ll have to come here to get it, but if you don’t get all you’re asking for… then you get none!

“In a few weeks time, we will start to launch projects from arts organisations representing a rich diversity of artforms, organisations and artists from across the UK.”… Just like Spotify is losing a massive opportunity (and maybe their survival) by not launching in the U.S. & others like MOG or Rdio will take their place with great pleasure; WDT & other Asian platforms can’t wait to get our money… while Kickstater figures out a way to launch a universal payment system.
