Dan Chau‘s latest exhibition is taking place at the Packer Schopf Gallery (Chicago) not only with those great Crayola Chinese Zodiac crayons but with her latest works … delicate ceramic-silk & thread compositions…

Originally from Vietnam Diem Chau and her family came to America as refugees in 1986… “her work touches on the value of Storytelling, Myths and its ability to connect us to each other through cultural and humanistic similarities. Chau’s current work drifts into new territory by exploring the periphery of the narrative, moments forgotten and faded, or too brief to retain”.

the subtlety and elegance of her works remind us to Re Jin’s Teabag Mugs… although these pieces are not meant to be used as part of your daily dishes.

Her exhibition ends next Saturday, so (as usual) if you happen to be in Chicago …. don’t miss it!! (Packer Gallery).
