PICNIC is a cross-discipline platform for creative conversation and collaboration. It’s a unique festival featuring a strategic conference, complimented by hands-on workshops and matchmaking sessions. Translation: PICNIC is a mix of technological knowhow and pop culture or if you prefer: an excuse for those twitter addicts and socially abducted professionals to meet and chat 😉

Those 3 days should be filled up with inspiring ideas, fun and sensory stimulation in media, technology, entertainment, art and science….everything we’re looking for in our “ideal” event.

One third “geeky” another third “cool” and the last one…. “up to you”. The key ingredients for a European Picnic.

People like Niklas Zennström (founder of Kazaa or Skype) or Peter Molyneux (founder of Lionhead Studios, those behind Black & White or Fable!) are part of the long list of speakers who will be discussing about world, economy, society and daily lives.

PICNIC ’09: Broadway – Who Gets to Tell the Story? with David Binder from PICNIC on Vimeo.

In the end PICNIC is about meeting people. Whether you’re looking for new business parters, creative insights, or just want to brainstorm and chat for a few days PICNIC offers that and some other nice initiatives like the LABS.

It will take place in Westergasfabriek, Amsterdam which apparently seems to be pretty nice during this time of the year (and you can always invite your peers to have a coffee at a coffeeshop 😉 back in town).

Nice Picnic.
