Sound Acts 2016, May 5 – 8

3 May 2016

Sound Acts 2016 is on at Athen’s TV Control Center (Κέντρο Ελέγχου Τηλεοράσεων), running May 5 to 8.

The three-day event is curated by the first Greek queer music label Fytini, and billed as a gathering and a showcase of “creative couplings between music/sound, performance art/gesture and gender/body/activism.”

Musical or ‘amusical’ performances, interventions and installations, as well as theoretical presentations and discussions will be held at Athens Museum of Queer Arts and Polychoros KET, while addressing notions of theatricality, post-performance, cyborgs, self-referentiality, anti-art and subjectivity and much more.

Participating artists include Pauline Boudry & Renate Lorenz, Istanbul Queer Art Collective, Pêdra Costa, Miss SaturationNatasha Lall among others.

See the Sound Acts website for details.**
