The talks will happen on the third Wednesday of every month and, it seems, will weave conversations between artists who have previously shown with Caustic Coastal.
There is a BYOB policy as well as a potluck dinner, to which all are invited. It feels like a nice angle into the current interest of asking artists to reflect on their work, present in front of an audience.
Eloïse Bonneviot‘s latest digital commission, Thinking Like a Mountain, is premiering on Caustic Coastal on February 12 and runs until February 22.
The independent UK art label and curatorial platform brings Bonneviot for their first digital exhibition, showing her 2014 interactive archive both online and physically at Rogue Project Space, where they are resident curators. The archive is described as one of ‘mountain accident data’, inviting players to step into a fantasy world “where the logics of labeling is undone and the rationality of information is reshuffled”.
Shifting focus away from some standout festivals and fairs starting the year, the week beginning February 9 is a big one for one-off events and exhibitions. Kimmo Modig and Shana Moulton will be performing in Athens and Nottingham respectively, while Hannah Sawtell, Jenny Moore and PC Music‘s Finn Diesel are performing in London.
