Something Must Break presents the Assiette ou Virage et Dérapage group exhibition at Milan’s Via Giovanni Pontano 35 opening November 14. 

The show includes work by Monia Ben Hamouda, Vitaly Bezpalov, Alessandro Di Pietro, Jibril Esposito, 
Michele Gabriele, Dorota Gaweda & Egle Kulbokaite and Lucia Leuci with a contribution text by Natalya Serkova, and explores the idea of’ Minor Circumstance’ which lets “visual pleasure have the best on the imaginary / imaginative concept of the artwork.”

Something Must Break is based between Istanbul and Milan and is a research project by Monia Ben Hamouda and Michele Gabriele that investigates “Distances, Narratives and Feelings.”

“Understanding our times.” Qway launches issue 2 of Glimmergate at Marsèlleria, May 3

Qway launches issue 2 of online publication Glimmergate at New York’s Marsèlleria on May 3.
 
The online publication Qway, which is part of Milan-based art label Siliqoon and devoted to “understanding our times”, presents its latest issue featuring a collaborative short fiction by Mattia Capelletti, Andrea Magnani and Zoe De Luca. There are also visual contributions by 15 artists including Martin Kohout, Libby RothfeldAlessandro Di Pietro and Andrea Magnani among others.
 
The launch will include a one day exhibition and presentation of the included drawings, followed by Trigger Party with Joel Dean, Zoe De Luca, Sam Korman and Libby Rothfeld. Trigger parties are a monthly gatherings where “people invited to show and talk about their practice freely.”

Tiziano e Giorgione (2016) exhibition photos

Michele Gabriele and Alessandro Di Pietro presented two-person exhibition Tiziano e Giorgione at Torino’s Treti Galaxie, which ran from September 14 until October 2, 2016.

Curated by Matteo Mottin, the installation explored friendship and death inspired by the peculiar link between the 16th Century Venetian masters Giorgione and Titian. Working across a variety of media, from resin, silicon, PVC print and iron to aluminium, bamboo wood and reflective fabric, the works are separated from the viewers by a river of poisoned water, which, recalling such mythological rivers as the Styx and the Acheron, situates them in a limbo.**

Michele Gabriele + Alessandro Di Pietro’s Tiziano e Giorgione was on at Torino’s Treti Galaxie running from September 14 until October 2, 2016.
