Soleil Froid @ Palais de Tokyo – Paris
27/02/2013 @ 6:00 pm - 20/05/2013 @ 5:00 pm
variousThe new expo cicle @ Palais de Tokyo begins next Wednesday under a frozen sun umbrella. Titled “Soleil Froid”, PDT invite us for the next 3 months to explore the surface of a strange world where nothing real must enter as French writer Raymond Roussel used to say.
A sun which enlightens everything and everyone equidistant to all human beings and which provides with a generous number of works displayed at the numerous spaces @ PDT.
One of the first invited artists for this Cold Sun period is Julio Le Parc, a very influential artist who’ll get his fisrt significant expo in France since the 80s and whose light & movement researches are put at the service of a militant art for the visitors’ participation.
A few more expos are added to fulfill the vast spaces and lower levels @ PDT: Raymond Roussel’s “Nouvelles impressions”, François Curlet’s “Mental objects” the always clever de-constructed sculptures by Dewar & Gicquel, the reptile explorations by Joachim Koester; and lastly Evariste Richer will be filling the space @ “Bibliothèque d’artiste” with her constellation and mineral collections meetups.
As an addition to the program also worth mentioning “Meltem”, a collective expo on new sculpture practices and a series of workshops conceived by Fondation Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent.
Cold earthly feelings for this new spring period with a free opening tomorrow from 20h onwards, more info on the program and the artists on the PDT webpage.
