The To a Body group exhibition at New York’s Shoot The Lobster opened November 11 and is running to December 22.

Curated by Elisa R. Linn and Lennart Wolff, the show features work by Beatrice Loft Schulz, Julia Heyward + Ericka Beckman, Mary Beth Edelson, Bill HaydenHeji Shin, Jibade-Khalil Huffman and Kandis Williams.

The press release contextualises the works with a reference to Pier Paolo Pasolini‘s poem A un cuarp that is itself awaiting and “unfolding, undoing…” Seeking to capture “the expressions of a body during transitive” and limited moments, the exhibition brings together an installation of video, performance, photo, text and sculpture to explore “the role that artworks play both as products and agents in the formation of subjects.”**
