“What makes you crumble?” Documentation of The Malignancy of Stupidity The Cutest Evil … group exhibition

, 29 June 2017

The malignancy of Stupidity: the cutest evil (la coscienza sporca), le perroquet…Yesterday sounded too sentimental…once more: repression/negation/vulnerability…BOTH SHOWS SHOULD HAVE THE SAME TITLES…I like your note about friendship group exhibition was on at Paris’ Lily Robert, running May 12 to June 17.

Curated by Fabio Santacroce, the show happened alongside  the solo exhibition of the same name by Margaret Haines, and featured work by Dan Bodan, Jesse Darling, Cédric Fargues, Romain Hamard, Kareem Lotfy, Sands Murray Wassink, Anna Maria Pinaka, Skki, Ilya Smirnov, Anna Solal + Geo Wyeth.

The press release ruminates on art and friendship, gender and intersubjectivity: “Including friends may also include the possibility and fear of losing them. Do you know that I have promised myself to stay away from any kind of emotional involvement and sophistication? They make you crumble.”**

The The Malignancy of Stupidity The Cutest Evil… was on at Paris’ Lily Robert, running May 12 and ran to June 17, 2017.
