Steven Warwick has released a surprise audio-visual mixtape Nadir via Berlin’s PAN label and delinear.info on November 18.

The artist and producer had been releasing music under his Heatsick alias until his last release Re-Engineering in 2013. Since then he’s been focussing more on live performance, collaborations and visual art, touring for Anne Holmer’s Breadwoman revival, exhibiting Neutral at Berlin’s Exile, presenting a play called Neonliberal and taking up a three-month residency at Villa Aurora in Los Angeles.

Nadir is the culmination of these experiences in Berlin and LA over the past three years, also a period of mourning for the loss of a loved one just after the release of his last Heatsick album. As a result, Warwick has dropped the moniker and made himself vulnerable with this honest, contemplative but sometimes darkly funny new album.
