The Currently & Emotion: Translations book is launching at London’s Hannah Barry Gallery on October 27.

Edited by Sophie Collins, the new anthology of poetry published by Test Centre, is an extensive yet carefully selected collection of contemporary writing that “leans towards translations by and from female translators and authors, and towards work that shows awareness of, and that negotiates in interesting ways, the complex power dynamics inherent to every act of translation.”

The book features an introduction by Collins — who is currently researching poetry and translation at Queen’s University Belfast, and is co-founder of online publication Tender — as well as a preface by Erín Moure and an afteword by Zoë Skoulding.

The evening will also include readings from Rachael AllenCaroline Bergvall, and Sophie Seita among others, as well as two videos by Don Mee Choi and Linh Dinh.
