Alex Ito is presenting solo exhibition Act II: Carcass and The White Light at Baltimore’s Springsteen Gallery, opening October 15 and running to December 3.
The show is the second in a series, with the first Act I: The Crucible’s Nest exhibited in September in Los Angeles. Expanding on the ideas explored in the first Act, Ito continues his investigation “of the violence and intimacy embedded within popular visual culture and the historical narrative of progress within consumer culture.”
A new body of paintings will be presented that focus on desensitization and compression of images and the way things are formed into commodity’s.
