Georgie Nettell is presenting solo exhibition Current Affairs at London’s Project Native Informant, opening September 28 and running to October 29.

The London-based artist exhibited a collaborative film installation at Jupiter Woods (2016) earlier this year, along with another collaboration for Sidsel Meineche Hansen’s Second Sex War at Gasworks. Nettell also had a solo show at Project Native Informant in 2013 and showed at Reena Spaulings in New York the same year.

Heatsick, who included her in his ‘10 artists heatsick rates‘ interview, was interested in the way the work “dealt with notions of recycling, circulation and eco branding”, as well as the way her musical group Plug (with Sian Dorrer) dealt with stock imagery “to [confuse] the listener as to the public image of the group.”

The opening will be the first at the PNI’s new location.
