Rafaela Lopez is launching her catalogue at Paris’ The Tropicool Company on September 17.

The monograph is edited by Marseille’s inaugural Art-O-Rama, which ran August 26 to 28, and features texts by Arnaud Labelle-Rojoux, Georgia René-Worms, John Hill, Juan Cruz, Cedric Fauq and Veronica Valentini. The latter Barcelona-based curator, tutor and researcher also writes about Lopez’s practice for the Art-O-Rama programme, where she took part in 63rd-77th STEPS‘s AFA 2 (2).

The Paris-based artist, who works with sculpture, video and co-curation projects plays with structure, language and meaning to transform everyday objects into animated and affecting works of art, while exploring what Valentini calls “the principle of variability represents the metaphysical essence of the work.
