Producer GAIKA releases the SECURITY  mixtape through Brooklyn-based label Mixpak on April 21.

The London-based artist featured on NON Records‘ WORLDWIDE COMPILATION, VOL. 1. and dropped a previous mix MACHINE online last year. Brought up in the English capital’s Brixton area and of Jamaican and Grenadian heritage, GAIKA’s most recent effort is an attempt at what the press release calls “expanding and exploding the ideas of what contemporary black British music is”.

Dark and minimal, the recording features tracks with titles like ‘Knuckleduster’, ‘World Star’ and ‘White Picket Fences’ that draw on the global currents of a London music scene, and explicit politics. Vocals are delivered through GAIKA’s vocals patois-informed flow, along with contributions from emcees and singers Fallacy, Gretz, Serocee, Miss Red, Mista Silva, Trigga, Bipolar Sunshine, August+Us and 6Cib.
