Artist and singer Emily Sundblad will perform Dichterliebe/Divine Bitches Part Two with Juliana Huxtable for London’s Serpentine Sackler‘s 2016 The Magazine Sessions programme on April 18.

The evening, which will be the second instalment of the collaboration previously shown at The Kitchen in New York in April last year, will take the form of an “erotic collage operetta”.

Texts written by Sundblad and poet, artist and DJ, Huxtable combined with fragments from online porn sites and choral rearrangements of hits by Pete Drungle will be punctuated by songs from Dichterliebe (translated to ‘A Poet’s Love’)a cycle by German composer, Robert Schumann.

New York-based Sundblad runs and performs as Reena Spaulings and Huxtable has recently performed at DRAF‘s current Ways of Living exhibition opening.

Other artists involved in Dichterliebe/Divine Bitches Part Two are Ken Okiishi and choir, Musarc, who also performed at a previous Magazine Sessions, A Woodland Truce.
