The Berlin Feminist Film Week is back for another year, running at venues across Berlin from March 6 to 13.

The stacked week kicks off with an opening party this Friday at Hallesches Haus that will present an introduction into the topic of women and film with a panel discussion featuring Alexandra Georgi, co-founder of WIFT Germany, Bettina Schoeller from Pro Quote Regie, filmmaker Isabell Šuba and film-journalist Sophie Rieger. This discussion is followed by a screening of a short film program with the festival’s best-of selection, which includes Tania Claudia Castillo‘s SpringJoanna Arnow‘s Bad at dancing, Sarah Blout Rosenberg‘s Girl Power: All dolled upAnahita Ghazvinizadeh‘s NeedleLeslie von Press’s Flying Solo, and Lovisa Sirén‘s Pussy Have the Power.

The opening weekend will also bring an Alex Sebag-curated exhibition featuring Isabel Seliger and Johanna Maierski, both working in 2D drawing, as well as numerous screenings including ‘I work, therefore I exist’, ‘Something Must Break’ and ‘American Revolutionary+Shorts’ with a slew of other screenings throughout the following week.
