MEAT is a 240-hour large scale performance installation created by Thomas Bo Nilsson and his team, and running at Berlin’s Schaubühne Studio continuously from April 3 to its close on April 13.

Featuring 60 performers “acting in a fragmented universe of both living and commercial spaces”, the installation is inspired by the story of alleged Canadian cannibal killer, Luka Magnotta, who was found and arrested amidst a media frenzy in a small internet cafe in Berlin’s Neukölln neighborhood in June of 2012.

Using his life and self-created online identities as the starting point, MEAT will present an exact replica of Magnotta’s Montreal apartment and the scene of the alleged crime.

You can visit the Schaubühne Studio website to read more about the performance installation and can view the full trailer for the project here.
