Martin Kohout‘s 5006 years of daylight and silent adaptation solo exhibition opens at Berlin’s Exile gallery on January 11, and runs until February 15.

The Czech Städelschule artist’s work recently appeared as part of V4ULT’s Breathing Kevlar, Perforated Skin group show, as well as online exhibit and installation M0N3Y AS AN 3RROR. This show comes with the following blurb and one assumes the layout is important:

“Hibernation
is
the
default
metabolic
state
for
some
animals
that
exist
in
this
state
for
the
greater
part
of
the
year
at
times
of
a
metabolic
energy
crisis.

Conversely, up-regulation of metabolism and alertness is a widespread and common survival strategy in response to the availability of energy.”
