Two aqnb favourites on the one bill, Sheffield producer Poisonous Relationship, as well as Berlin’s Heatsick in London for Butt Magazine‘s Butt Plugged event downstairs at the Ace Hotel on December 14.
Poisonous Relationship, aka Jamie Crewe, recently worked on Alexis Penney’s Window LP and released his own Men’s Feelings EP earlier this year, while Heatsick’s RE-ENGINEERING, released only a couple of weeks ago, is probably one of the most concise (only?) musical dissections of contemporary visual art we’ve heard this year, maybe ever.
Here’s 10 artists Heatsick recommended to aqnb, plus a pretty troubling depiction of neo-colonial tourism via travel ads and iMovie by artist and collaborator Hanne Lippard (below) giving all the more reason to go and see Heatsick live.
