UK artist Phil Thompson will present his Paris debut, Screen/Space, at XPO Gallery, opening November 21 and running to December 16.

There’s been much talk of the shifting role of the artist as facilitator, rather that sole creator of an artwork, along ideas of ‘pseudo’ or ‘digi’ modernism and Thompson appears to pick up on said concept, where he explores the experience of art away from the institution and via social networks, like Tumblr, Twitter and Facebook. By pointing towards art as online documentation and interaction Screen/Space explores the shifting roles and eroding distinction between artist and viewer.
