One of the first big surprises of this year is certainly going to be the release of Phèdre’s self-titled album in a couple fo weeks. Those “three lovers from Monaco, raised in a cave of gold” who seem to have hit the right “extraterrestrial&exotic” spot just like MGMT did back in 2007 and so many bands have tried to emulate since.
The trio are a couple of members of Hooded Fang: Daniel Lee and April Aliermo together with Airick Woodhead of Doldrums, and while they all have a pretty busy agenda with their respective bands (HF for ex. are touring in the UK and then the US this whole month + March) they’ll be presenting their debut LP @ The Great Hall in Toronto (Canada) later this month.

Their album will be released next February 14th on Daps Records but next Tuesday the good folks @ Gorilla vs Bear will give us a streaming preview for our pleasure. Make sure you’re there.
