Released early this year on the Swedish TV (lucky them!) Goran Hugo Olsson’s new documentary. An amazing compilation structured in 9 chapters; made from archival footage of the US black power movement that will hopefully make it out of the festival circuit (Berlin, San Francisco, Sundance…).
Goran met Angela trying to assemble some footage never seen before outside the Swedish TV, as well as many of the other contemporaries who involved somehow in the creation of this documentary… Erykah Badu, Talib Kweli, Harry Belafonte, Kathleen Cleaver, Sonia Sanchez, Bobby Seale and Questlove who also contributed to the film with his music.
Dying to get my hands on it (hopefully the guys @ Story.se, who’ve helped producing the doc, will release it very soon).
