Goodbye 1984

news

It’s funny how companies are reborn and I still remember writing nearly 2 years ago about the death of Motorola…. now their consumer device entity is stronger than ever thank to the appearance and quick adoption of Android…

And their expectations must be really high for the coming months now that they’ve decided to enter the tablet market with the upcoming Xoom. If last Christmas they already teased us about what it was about to be unveiled @ CES, now that Google is just 2 days away from giving us a deeper insight into Honeycomb, Motorola just winked at Apple.

You all probably remember the 1984 ad here below, and ironically enough, Apple has become some sort of device manufacturer monopole dictating the market trends (and many times imposing the revenue models… i.e. iTunes), but no one can blame them for their constant innovation. Now that mr Jobs has retired (and hopefully he’ll come back)… and the Apple kingdom looks temporarily instable…. will Moto & the other challengers take final advantage?

Stay foolish
