↓ The External World
David OReilly has a new short ready to impress and go around every film festivals “The External World”….
And even though we don’t know much about it yet (…”A boy learns to play the piano”…) the film has been premiered and screen since last September all across film festivals and will get to the US when it premieres at the Sundance Film Festival next January 20th (more info on the screenings here).
You should know O’Reilly at least from his previous masterpiece “Please say something” which won several awards & recognitions last year as one of the best short films in 2009…. troubled, realistic and very Japanese undefined.
The External world looks like it will be just as rough and addictive and last October it collected its first prize…. the Grand Prix at Ottawa International Animation Festival (a few more since). The film may be released on his on-line shop in a few weeks so keep checking it out!
