What do you do with your daily rubbish? Those daily supermarket plastic bags, beer cans, or those old socks, vinyls or floppy disks? Do you reuse all that junk or just throw it away? Well here’s an initiative by Ian Moise to get you all started in the trendy but useful & needful art of recycling: Reuse Connection

Ian and his father are building up this international community promoting the re-use of materials and items by providing a platform for people to share and discuss re-use examples and by supporting eco-entrepreneurship.

For now they’re based in Washington DC; Meadow Vista, CA but with the web and tools such as facebook or twitter their presence is really global. In the end they’re trying to promote innovation and entrepreneurship (and reduce waste) through the exchange of ideas on how to re-use material and items.

one of the many ways of reusing cork

By sharing global “reuse” knowledge you get to know many unusual, creative and sometimes impossible ways of recycling everyday junk…. like how people reuse buckets in Kyrgyzstan, or how people reuse broken zippers in Korea, or what does one do with old shoes in Benin…

If the idea & the community keep growing (nearly 33k fans on FB) at this pace the website & database they’re building shall become extremely useful in the near future. Imagine…. people being able to look for tips & tricks by object, or material, howtos, ask the community etc … for now you can read their daily feed with some amazing (other weird) ideas from all around the globe… while we wait for the site to be launched. Welcome to the reuse community ;)… any tips you may have? any questions of how to reuse anything?
