Ana Juan

If not very long ago we were talking about Eric Drooker’s New Yorker covers, today we shall pay attention to another great illustrator who also has a long list of amazing TNY orders: Ana Juan, who was just awarded with the Spanish national Illustration 2010 Prize given by the Culture Minister (20.000 cash prize basically)…

Ana, whose works have a very “naive” style and always a fantasy approach received the verdict by e-mail and seemed to be quite surprised by the decision. She’s not one of those young illustrators we generally talk about… having worked with some of the most prestigious publications worldwide (LA Times, El Pais, Rolling Stone…) her work isn’t limited to illustration as she’s also written several books and constantly flirts with painting & sculpture.

God

In Spain Ana Juan is also mostly known for her illustrations who helped creating the identity of many local publications such as Madriz or El Vibora (both now part of the local history).

Music heads

Her works have been exhibited a bit of everywhere across Ginebra, NY, Barcelona, Seville but what we really like is her advertising works & campaigns..
