Whim: Cardboard record player

↓ Whim: Cardboard record player

One of those promotional pieces that make us dream, so simple, so creative and might not be a truly efficient player (you wouldn’t even consider using it) but it deserves to be noticed…

Audio engineering company GGRP Sound has created a cardboard envelope that transforms into a record player. Once assembled, a 45 rpm record can be spun on it using a pencil. The vibrations travel through a needle which is embedded in one of the box’s edges and are amplified in the cardboard material.

These players were sent out to creative directors as part of a promotion for GGRP (developed by ad agency Grey Canada).
