Whim: BigShot digital camera

↓ Whim: BigShot digital camera

Always good to have educational projects like this one. Computer Vision Laboratory at Columbia University have designed and built a prototype digital camera for children between the ages of 8 and 14 years attending schools in New York City.

The kids put back together the parts of “BigShot” and quickly learn the way today’s photography works. The project is currently being developed in New York, India and Vietnam, hopefully many more countries will come. Their site explain in full detail how to build and best use the camera.
